Zero Data Retention
Effective August 26, 2026.
1. What zero data retention means
This Zero Data Retention Policy applies to standard Terminal inference Services. Black Arrow Labs, Inc. dba Terminal is referred to as ‘Terminal,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our.’ ‘Input’ means prompts, instructions, data, and other material submitted to the Services. ‘Output’ means material generated by the Services from Input. Input and Output together are ‘Customer Content.’ This Policy applies by default to synchronous, streaming, flex, and queued inference.
2. No persistent Customer Content
Terminal does not write raw prompts, Inputs, responses, Outputs, or derived cache content to persistent application storage, logs, databases, or backups. Customer Content exists temporarily in volatile memory only while queued, processed, and returned, and is deleted when processing completes. Prompt and KV caches are memory-only, tenant-isolated, and deleted after the request completes or the serving replica shuts down. Terminal does not use Customer Content for training, fine-tuning, evaluation, improvement, support, debugging, or optional capture.
3. Information Terminal retains
Terminal retains only content-free billing metadata: account ID, model, token counts, price, and billing timestamp. Terminal uses that information only for billing, invoicing, taxes, and accounting. It never includes prompts, Outputs, cache content, IP addresses, request IDs, latency, errors, or security or operational events.
4. Scope
This Policy applies to all standard inference endpoints and all request modes. It excludes information Customer separately provides in account, billing, sales, support, or business correspondence. It does not govern Customer systems, Customer logging, or Customer integrations, which Customer controls.
5. Legal requests and limited disclosures
Terminal may disclose information it actually holds when legally required. That obligation does not require Terminal to retain Customer Content, and Terminal cannot retrieve inference content after processing completes. Terminal does not offer a customer opt-in storage or capture mode for Customer Content.
6. Custom weights and adapters
Custom weights and adapters are separate from Customer Content. They are encrypted at rest in customer-specific Google Cloud Storage buckets, are not used for training or shared, and remain available until Customer requests deletion. Terminal deletes active and backup copies within one day of written notice. Temporary serving copies follow the lifecycle of the serving replica.
7. Regions
Customer chooses US or EU processing for inference, and Customer Content remains in the selected region. Account and billing metadata are centrally processed in the United States.
8. Customer responsibilities
Customer controls the content it submits to the Services and its own logs and integrations. Customer is responsible for complying with the Terms, applicable model policies, and applicable law, and for assessing the legal and regulatory fit of the Services for its use case.
9. Relationship to other terms, changes, and contact
This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and Terms. A signed MSA, order form, SLA, or DPA may provide additional terms and controls in the event of a conflict. Terminal may make prospective changes by posting an updated effective date.
